Littleton Landsharks is a non-profit volunteer club of local mountain bikers that love to have fun on their mountain bikes whether it be riding the local singletrack or racing against the best in New England. The Landsharks are based at Littleton Bike & Fitness 28 Cottage Street in Littleton, NH. Littleton Bike and Fitness is the founding site of the Landsharks and has been a great supporter.
The Landsharks have no officers. Dave pretty much runs the whole show.
The club goes on weekly rides, Tuesdays at 6pm (start peddling at 6) during the riding season, which is early April to late October. Typically the rides last for two hours. Most weeks there are three groups usually riding from different locations. A group - the fastest and largest, B group - fast enough but not as fast as the A group, and the C group - which is mostly beginner riders and those that just prefer a not so fast pace and shorter distances.
The club has very little money used just to register the club with the racing organizations NORBA and EFTA, also a donation to IMBA. The rest of the money is used to pay for this web site. The dues to join the Littleton Landsharks is minimal and voluntary. The Littleton Bike Shop offers discounts to paid members on select items in the shop which changes year by year. There is no doubt that a person will recoup the amount spent on the membership.
For the racers there is some support, but no financial or material support. For more information on racing go to the Littleton Bike Shop and ask. There are a few races each year that the Landsharks like to put forth a good showing, 24 Hours of Pats Peak, 24 Hours of Great Glen, and the VT50. To get more information on these events just come on some club rides and you will no doubt overhear people talking about these races. Nuf said.
